KARACHI: A China Air flight with 39 passengers from China on board landed at the Jinnah International Airport late Monday night. According to reports, all passengers underwent necessary scanning in China before being allowed to board the flight. The screening of the passengers was again done on their arrival at the Karachi airport.

Earlier on Monday, the first flight – a Qatar Airlines flight – arrived from Doha, carrying 40 students. Health department staff conducted medical examinations of all the students at the Islamabad International Airport after which they were permitted to go home.

A second flight – a China Southern Airlines flight CZ6007 – brought 69 passengers including 57 Pakistanis and 12 Chinese. The flight included members of a group of Pakistani students and community members stranded in Ürümqi due to the suspension of flights in the wake of the new coronavirus outbreak in China. The third flight, carrying 86 passengers, had also arrived at the Islamabad International Airport, directly from China.

Meanwhile, after arriving from China, a Pakistani student, suspected of being affected by coronavirus, has been admitted to Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences due to cough and nose and mouth bleeding.
