KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange above the 98,000 mark on Friday as share prices surged more than 2,000 points in intraday trade
LALHORE: All the past records of sale and purchase of animals in cattle markets were broken.
In 12 markets of the city, 17 lakh 71 thousand 338 small and big animals were bought and sold while the turnover was more than 79 billion 456 million.
According to official report, the city of Lahore was ranked number one in 36 districts of Punjab in terms of sacrifice and economic activities.
As per statistics, 1,072,842 small and 6,98,398 large animals were sold. The small animal had a turnover of Rs 37.55 billion, the big animal had a turnover of Rs 41.90 billion.
According to government officials, in view of the current situation, the proportion of sacrificial animals in the city was higher due to the ban on Hajj, but the rural economy has been strengthened overall.
