A recent study found that using mouthwash can significantly reduce the risk of corona virus.
A recent study by Cardiff University and the School of Medicine, published in The Journal of Function, claims that coronavirus can be prevented by using mouthwash on a regular basis. Dr. O'Donnell, a professor at Cardiff, says mouthwash destroys the outer surface of the virus.
He said that continuous use of mouthwash had also proved to be extremely effective against the SARS virus while it had no side effects.
Professor O’Donnell added: “Mouthwash has not been tested against this new coronavirus yet. People should continue to follow the preventive measures issued by the UK government, including washing hands frequently and maintaining social distance. This study suggests further clinical studies could be worthwhile based on the theoretical evidence.”
