PESHAWAR:  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Ajmal Wazir requested people to follow SOPS to limit the transmission of Covid-19. if SOPs are not implemented on Eid, the number of cases will increase. If the situation worsens, the lockdown will have to be tightened.

Talking to media, Ajmal Wazir said that Eid will be celebrated with simplicity due to plane crash and Corona. More than one lakh calls were received on Corona helpline 1700. The public is being informed about Corona epidemic on the helpline. He said the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme was benefiting labourers and the working class, adding that the Phase-II of the programme would also be funded by the KP government.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser said that the health system in a country like Italy has failed, but by the grace of Allah this has not happened in Pakistan. How long will the Corona epidemic last, nothing can be said. All public service agencies are working in a coordinated manner. By taking precautions, we can defeat Corona. The occasion of Eid is a testing case for us. This Eid is to be named after doctors and medical staff.
