KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange above the 98,000 mark on Friday as share prices surged more than 2,000 points in intraday trade
LAHORE: The 5th edition of National Tray Hockey Championship concluded in favor of brawny Punjab team at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.
In the final, Punjab and pool B table topper MPCL held half-time draw without a goal being scored then Punjab came up with two back-to-back goals in the 3rd quarter with Ahmer Ali opening the account in 36th minute. Arsalan scored in 43rd minute to take the lead 2-0 over MPCL.
In 4th quarter, MPCL leveled the score through Yaqoob scored two goals in quick successions. The sides went into half time tied at 2-2 draw and Punjab won by 4-2 in Penalty Shootouts.
Among the ten endowed participated teams, PAF walloped HEC by 4-2 to win third position in the tournament.
It is permitted to mention here that Punjab and MPCL has qualified for 66th National Senior Hockey Championship which will be played at Mari Petroleum Hockey Stadium, Ayub Park, Rawalpindi from November 5 to 20, 2020.
