The Civil Aviation Authority to increase number of domestic flights from June 1
ISLAMABAD: The Civil Aviation Authority has announced to increase the number of domestic flights from June 1, operating from Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.
According to details, on the direction of the federal government, the Civil Aviation Authority has announced an increase in domestic flights.
Under the new order, the number of domestic flights is 20 to 22 per cent higher than the pre-Corona virus pre-flight operation, which is now being increased to 40 to 45 per cent, PIA and private airline Seren. Air will operate regional flights.
Senior Joint Secretary Aviation Division Abdul Sattar Khokhar said the decision to increase flights was taken in view of public demand and increasing economic activity.
A spokesman for the Aviation Division said that domestic flights would be increased from June 1, while domestic flights would be operated from Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.
On the other hand, after the permission of the government of Pakistan, air operations for overseas flights from the country's airports have been resumed from 12 noon on Friday, Pakistan Civil Aviation Spokesman Rana Mujtaba said.
Rana Mujtaba said that foreign companies, including PIA, would be allowed to fly abroad from Pakistan and implementation of the code of conduct to prevent the spread of Corona virus would have to be ensured.
